I’ve long been fascinated by the scale of time and my inability to get my arms around the concept. I suspect I’m not the only one.
What follows is a link to 70 images from 1939-1943 that depict life in parts of these United States. Given that I was born in 1941, they show what I think of as normal people living normal lives, as lived 70 plus years ago. The color and detail is wonderful.
For me, it’s a lifetime. But from the perspective of the cosmos, it’s less than the blink of an eye. Enjoy these images while you can.
