My Comment: My goals for 2012 include a major effort to first identify and then help high school students and their parents find the necessary funds to pay for a college education.

With college costs increasing at an alarming rate, parents are often forced to invade their retirement funds to help pay for college. College loans are often a black hole and programs such as Bright Futures have a bleak future. The money is simply no longer there to support these programs.

Here’s a flyer I created a few weeks ago that describes a program that I’ve investigated fully. If the process is followed to its logical conclusion, its not unusual for there to be $20,000 on the table each year for a four year college career.

This money comes from endowment funds, funds that admission offices across the country are prepared to spend on those students they most want to attend their college or university. Our program puts those admission offices on notice and the result is thousands of dollars that does not have to be given back.
