Happy Thanksgiving!

In our family, Thanksgiving reigns supreme.

For the past several years, ever since the death of my mother-in-law, Thanksgiving has arrived at our house.

My wife is the eldest of five children and all of them, along with spouses, children, grandchildren, dogs and various other friends and their relatives appear at our house.

As an only child, I can tell you this is a stressful time of the year for me.

Tomorrow, we’ll have the usual turkey and ham and all the trimmings. We expect to have 23 people and as many as 9 dogs in the house. Fortunately, the dogs all get along.

There is much to be thankful for, not least the opportunity to meet and have too much to eat.

My hope is that you and your family will have good times together and feel thankful for all the good things in your life.

There are so many good things in my life that sometimes its overwhelming. Like having 21 extra people in the house.
